Vision
Our vision is for every person living with dysautonomia in Aotearoa New Zealand to be recognised, understood, and supported. We aim to create a future where timely diagnosis, effective treatment, and community awareness are the norm, not the exception. By fostering collaboration between people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers, we strive for a society where no one feels alone, or unseen on their journey with dysautonomia.
Mission
Dysautonomia NZ exists to raise awareness, provide education, and build a supportive community for people living with autonomic nervous system disorders.
We are committed to:
Education & Awareness – sharing accurate, accessible information to the public to improve understanding, awareness , and challenge the stigma.
Advocacy – giving a voice to those living with dysautonomia by promoting recognition, inclusion, and action at all levels of healthcare and society.
Support & Community – creating safe spaces for people and whānau to connect, share experiences, and find strength together.
Research & Collaboration – encouraging New Zealand-based research and building partnerships to improve treatment options and long-term outcomes.
